Clifton Inn Wedding Charlottesville | Chloe and Jon

I am so excited to write about this wedding, I almost don’t know where to begin! But I think I have to start with the bride and groom themselves, and their pup Oso…because when I first learned about this pup’s story I knew I would love working with his parents! Chloe adopted Oso while she was with the Peace Corps in the Dominican Republic, and gave him his name because he looked like an ‘osito’ (a little bear). Jon says he jokes that he knew Chloe and Oso were a package deal…and that Chloe was the package that came with Oso! They are his bundle! 🙂 You’ll see Oso in the pictures below…what a sweetheart! But of course he is, he has wonderful parents!
Jon proposed to Chloe at the Kennedy Center, with the help of her favorite band Crush Funk Brass. While the band serenaded Chloe with the song Down on Bended, Jon knelt down and asked her to be his wife! And to top it off, Chloe had no idea the surprise was coming! A magical moment indeed! They tied the knot at the beautiful Clifton Inn in Charlottesville last weekend, with a ceremony that incorporated religious traditions from both of their families. The Greek and Jewish celebration led to some amazing dancing during the reception! The Hora was so exciting!! The whole night I felt grateful and happy to be a part of the celebration. When I’m having an especially good time working with a couple, I often ask myself: Why? In this case, the toasts given by Chloe and Jon’s families and friends truly gave words to my own feelings: these two are exceptionally good people. Jon is so polite and kind. And Chloe is the sweetest, she knows what she wants and goes for it. I love working with strong, smart women! I wish these two all the best and hope you enjoy a sneak peek of their amazing day! Thanks Chrishaun Jones with Elegance & Simplicity for all your help, I loved working with you!

I’m so in love with pup Oso! He was exhausted with the festivities! hehehe

The bow-tie struggle is real! hehehehe

Right before the First Look, when Jon would see Chloe in her (gorgeous!) Berta wedding dress for the first time, I was standing with Jon, telling him Chloe was about to appear and just encouraging him to enjoy the moment and pretend my second photographer and I wasn’t there. He became emotional with happy, excited tears…and just gave me a big hug. It meant so much, and showed so clearly the depth of his feelings for Chloe. A special moment I will always remember!

The emotional environment of a wedding definitely starts with the bride and groom. Although it was a very hot day, Chloe and Jon were such good sports! They had smiles on their faces the whole time and a wonderful energy! I love it so much!Clifton Inn Wedding Charlottesville
