Ronon, my sweet Golden Retriever! | Fayetteville NC Wedding Photographer

About 3 weeks ago I was sitting on the back seat of my car…my husband was driving and I had this super sweet Golden Retriever puppy right next to me. We decided to call him Ronon…he was terrified…and so was I! It is scary when we finally get something that we want so bad. And I wanted a dog for such a long time! Even though I grew up with dogs, I had so many doubts in my mind…what if I didn’t know how to train him? What if he chewed the entire house? And if he got sick? And if we didn’t get along? Looking back I think I was scared of failure…scared of not knowing what to do…and I think  it is normal to get scared when something is so important! 🙂  We just can let this feeling paralyze us…

In just a short time that Ronon is in my life there are some things that will never be the same…and I’m not talking about my hardwood floors…ok, they will never be very clean anymore…hehehehe…I’m talking about the amount of love in my heart! Ronon has brought so much joy to my life! ♥

We are still adjusting. Our morning walks are not easy, he freezes…and I’m sure he is scared and he thinks that the neighbor’s big and black truck is going to eat us both! 😉 But I’m learning so much with him. I can see that patience and consistency are the keys not only for his improvement but to succeed in all other aspects of life!

Ronon is 7 months old and he is a super laid back and well behaved puppy…well, most of the time! He loves to sleep on the kitchen’s floor! ♥ He looks at me with those puppy eyes…so hard to say no! 🙂

He thinks Michael and I are non-stop machines for belly rubs!!! It is like “Can I have some belly rubs, pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee?????” 😀

At some point of the day he starts fussing with his plastic bone that has bacon flavor. We call it the “Bacon Bone Drama”!!! 😀 He barks to the bone…the bone gets under the couch and he can’t get it….he doesn’t fit under it!!!! hehehehehe! I know that when the “Bacon Bone Drama” goes on, it is time for me to take a break from work and play with him on the backyard! 🙂

Life is good with a tennis ball!!! 🙂

Ins’t he handsome? ♥

Some simple things in life are so amusing!!! 🙂

I’ve been asked a lot about his name. It kind of surprises me, I thought it was an American name! Well, Michael and I LOVE this show called Stargate Atlantis! So, we decided to name him after one of the characters!!! lol!!! Ok, you can laugh!!! 😀

And this is the Stargate Atlantis Ronon! I don’t think my Ronon will ever be so brave and fearless like the real Ronon…and I don’t want that, he is my sweet boy! But I have to tell you that if I don’t brush him every day, his hair might get pretty similar! 😛

Oh, he is the cutest thing! My favorite was the b&w one, on his back where he’s rubbing his snout. You should frame that one. <3ReplyCancel
