Greensboro Country Club Wedding | Meg and Rob

Sometimes I find myself in the midst of a wedding and begin to wonder at the huge amount of joy in the room. It’s one of the things I love…being surrounded by a group of people who are celebrating with a purpose. Meg and Rob’s day was filled with so much joy! This bride and groom were simply ecstatic to be tying the knot, and their happiness colored every single moment of their ceremony and reception. So beautiful!
The story of Rob’s proposal was so truly sweet. Rob is full of energy and excitement about life…so much so, that when he asked Meg’s father if he could have her hand, he couldn’t keep it a secret! The answer was yes, of course, but Rob ran straight upstairs to wake a sleeping Meg to tell her the good news! November 14th, 2016 was the night of the super moon, and Rob asked Kate to come out with him for some stargazing. After passing what seemed like hundreds of photographers out to catch the moon, the couple finally found themselves a quite place to watch the sky with their beloved English Setter Kate. When Rob dropped to one knee, Meg definitely knew it was coming! The part of the story I love most is that Meg’s father had confided to Rob that he wished Kate could be there for the proposal. Kate is Meg’s first family dog, she’s 13 years old, and means the world to Meg. So having her right there for the proposal was very special…and Rob pulled it off!
The wedding took place at the West Market Street Methodist Church, with a reception at the Greensboro Country Club. Meg wore an elegant gown designed by the owner of White on Daniel Island in Charleston…a gown that just happens to be named ‘Kate’! And Kate herself made an appearance at the wedding, wearing a flower wreath! She was the first to greet Meg and Rob when they walked down the aisle together after the ceremony! The day was an absolute pleasure, right from the moment Meg received me with a big hug when I arrived. Such a joy to see two friendly, sweet souls off on a new chapter! Enjoy this selection from their day! Thanks Mimi McGinn for being wonderful to work with!
