Classic elegance is a perfect theme for a wedding. Of course, everyone has their own unique spin on it…and Sam and Tyler’s was absolutely beautiful! Their ceremony took place at the West Market Street United Methodist Church in downtown Greensboro, with a reception at the Sedgefield Country Club. This couple’s celebration was truly refined…and they are so laid back and have such a positive attitude. It was a great day! Just a perfect example of how a wedding can be well coordinated and relaxed, fun and fabulous at the same time. Even when rain is involved!
Sam’s mom Kim put so much love and thought into helping plan every detail of this big day for her daughter. I adore seeing families working together in this way! I was especially delighted that Kim got her wish of being able to just enjoy the celebration once it was in motion. Sam was radiant in an Anna Campbell dress with a back that was to die for…and gorgeous Manolos! From the adorable flower girls to the incredible monogram that adorned the invitations, napkins and towels, this really was a gracious Southern wedding.
And the rain! It came down non-stop! Early in the day I told Sam that we would need to change the photo timeline because of the downpour. Her response? “Whatever you say!” I am so grateful and honored to work with clients who trust me like that! And in the end, everything worked out perfectly; the hotel where they were getting ready had a pretty overhang with curtains that matched their wedding colors. We did the portraits there, and they turned out beautifully in spite of the rain. Happy Dance! (Side note: Tyler had 15 groomsmen…the biggest bunch I’ve ever photographed!) The whole group was such a pleasure to work with. And to cap it off, Sam told me that she follows me on Instagram (you can too!), and particularly loves seeing photos of my pup Ronon. Made my day! Below is a sneak peek of their wonderful wedding!
Meanwhile, the groom was having a good time at the hotel bar! Sam and Tyler are so laid back and amazing to work with!
Sam and her maid of honor Keely have been friends since they were babies! Yes! Childhood friendships are the best ones.
Thank you Rebecca Ames Photography for shooting this wedding along with me and for always being so wonderful to work with! You are a great friend Becci!
