Mary Jane & Hollis | Fayetteville NC Wedding Photographer | Gillis Hill Farm

Hollis has a corky personality and makes Mary Jane laughs every day! ♥

He had everything planned in his mind…he was going to take her to a night club and he would propose to her in the middle of the dance floor! Awwww! But things didn’t work the way he planned…Mary Jane fell asleep…so he decided to do something super romantic instead…he slipped the engagement ring on her finger while she was sleeping! ♥♥♥ When Mary Jane woke up she couldn’t believe it…she ran to the living room, turned the lights on…he came after her and got down on his knees! What a sweet love story! ♥

They’ve been married for 2 years and they decided to dress up again and to have a Bride & Groom portrait session!!! I love it!!!!! Mary Jane is a wedding coordinator, she owns Unveiled Design + Events and she came up with amazing ideas for the photo session! 🙂

Here is a sneak peek of the lovely afternoon at the farm!!! Mary Jane and Hollis, I hope you like your images, I had a great time photographing your love! ♥

They’ve know each other their entire lives, their parents are friends. The picture you see below is him holding her at the beach when they were little kids! Awwwwww! They used this image to make the Save the Dates! What a great idea!!!

Thanks Melissa Marsh at Bragg About It Salon for doing Mary Jane’s hair. Absolutely beautiful!

I can say first hand Caroline Lima is so wonderful and SO easy to work with. She let Hollis and I ‘do our thing’ but once we were standing there she gave us great suggestions. Soft, subtle, helpful, and just plain creative!! I can not say enough nice things about this wedding photographer.ReplyCancel

Simplicity… | Fayetteville NC Wedding Photographer

…a while ago I felt this urge in my heart…I was anxious, part of me seemed to be missing…a year and a half had gone by and it was about time for me  to go and visit my country. I needed to spend some time with my family and friends…this is how I find my balance, I feed my soul and I find strength to follow my dreams…

I’m from a little town by the mountains in Brazil, called Itatiaia. This is the place I grew up…where I climbed trees, rode my bike, had mud fights and a blessed childhood. Simplicity is the word that sums up everything I need and cherish. ♥

Love, Carol. 🙂

My dad is retired from the Brazilian Army and now he has lots of jobs around the house. My mom keeps him busy! Now she wants to grow some vegetables and this is my dad’s new job! 🙂

One of my favorites fruits, fruta-do-conde!

Before I got in Brazil I mentioned to my mom that I needed to buy some kitchen towels. When I got there she was sewing some for me! awwwwwww! She made one for each day of the week, written in Portuguese and English! ♥

I suggested a family picture on Mother’s Day. I set my camera on the top of a whole bunch of books, I asked them if they where ready for me to set the timer and run…and I saw it coming!!! They couldn’t stop laughing!!! I wish I was in the picture, but I was laughing behind the camera!!!

And here is the one we got after a few tries! The one with the cap is my nephew (my brother’s son) and who I love more than words can say!

Carol, eu fico c muita saudade do Brasil vendo essas suas fotos com as coisas tipicas. Como me fazem lembrar meus muitos anos no Brasil. Vendo as toalhas, a natureza, a pimenta, tudo!!!! Verdade que sao simples as fotos, e por isso representam tao bem o Brasil. Amei. Obrigada por me dar esse momento.ReplyCancel
