You know when we do things just to make the person we love happy??? In my case, I had to watch all six Star Wars movies in one weekend!!! 🙂

Brad couldn’t say no when Nicole asked him to do a maternity-couple’s photo session with her…honestly, how can he say no to her beautiful smile and cheerful personality?!?! And he did so well during the photo session that I said to Nicole he deserved some beers! And not only a 6 pack, he deserved an entire keg! 🙂 I think I’m going to start bribing my husband with some beers, so he will do a photo session with me! 🙂

Brad, I hope this experience wasn’t too traumatic! 🙂 I had a great time with you guys!

This is Nicole and Brad! Such an adorable couple!

This is Buddy, part of the family. He is shy! 🙂

This past Tuesday I had this amazing experience of being part of Fer Juaristi and David Josué Workshop in Paris. It was so nice to see two guys from Mexico come to Europe and gather a big group of photographers all eager to learn more about the way they do things and most of all the way they see. And I have to say, they see in a whole awesome way! 🙂

Both Fer and David has this amazing ability of create beautiful and unexpected compositions that blows my mind away!!! And they are fearless to try something different and innovate in the wedding business. I truly respect this!

Their love for photography can be noticed with the sparkle they have in their eyes when they talk about it! It was refreshing, inspiring and lots of fun! 🙂

Fer and David, you guys rock! And also thanks to Sophie Delaveau, who helped organizing this amazing workshop!

Here are some images of the day! I hope you like them!

When Christine Meintjes announced her workshop in Munich, I didn’t even think twice! Her work is so beautiful and inspires me so much! Besides that, she is such a nice person! We told her she should wear a t-shirt saying “I’m a nice person!” 🙂

So, I packed my gear, got a hotel and went to Munich. I didn’t know what to expect, because it was the first big workshop I was attending. When I got there, I saw these two tables beautifully decorated with amazing flowers and the cutest details ever. Do you know when little kids get excited with candy? I was just like that! 🙂

Christine shared so much knowledge with everybody. Everything we asked her and Iaan (her husband) was answered with such honesty and willingness to help! I loved, loved, loved the workshop! And I got to meet some amazing photographers, all eager to learn and become better in their craft! I had an amazing time and learned sooooo much! Thank you guys!

I would like to thank the wedding coordinator Doreen Winking for styling this amazing shoot, Julia Hörl for the beautiful flowers and Barbara Gerdes for the hair and make-up.  Everything was perfect!!!!

Also, I got to attend Iaan’s Social Media Workshop on the last day! It was amazing!!!! 🙂

He had everything planned in his mind. During a trip to Europe, Mike would take Courtney to Bruges, this very romantic town in Belgium. He would take her to this beautiful lake, that he saw on a picture, get down on his knee and propose to her! Courtney had no idea he had an engagement ring for 8 days inside of his pocket and her answer…of course, was YES!

About one year and a half later they flew from the States to get married in Baden-Baden, Germany, to honor Mike’s heritage. It was a very intimate wedding, every single detail was carefully planned and the emotions were flowing through the air!

I’m so honored that I was a tiny part in their story! Courtney hired me through email without even talking to me on the phone! Thank you Courtney and Mike, for trusting me and my work on your special day. I hope you like the pictures! 🙂

When Jordan stepped into Natalie’s coffee shop, he couldn’t imagine his life would change forever. He saw this beautiful girl with amazing emerald eyes…they exchanged a few words and he kept going there every single day because of her. After a few weeks, he decided to ask her out, he went to the coffee shop twice that day, because the first time he couldn’t work up the nerve to do it!

After a while they realized they couldn’t live without each other and started talking about getting married…now is the best part…she said she wanted him to meet her family in the US before getting engaged. So, without her knowing about it, he started to talk to her father on Skype and since he would be in the US, he went to visit her family by himself to get to know them better! Well, I have to say something :-)…if a guy goes to the home of his girlfriend’s family by himself to get to know them because it is important to her, he definitely found the LOVE OF HIS LIFE! And by the way she looks at him, she has found her soul mate too!

And I’m glad to be a small part of this story! 🙂 The day was beautiful at Schloss Rheinfelfs, St. Goar!

Carol 🙂

  • I loved! look the flowers, her eyes! the castle!

Well done, you’re a clever girl. This couple look so good together and are very photogenic.ReplyCancel

  • Carol! I wish SoCal had more historic places. the composition of these images are gorgeous!!! My favorites are the when Natalie and Jordon are laying on the grass–the image just pops!ReplyCancel

  • Dear Caroline – I think you really accomplish what you set out to do – capturing the emotions of this couple. Very well done!!! The technical part you have handled quite well – exposure, selective focus, rimlighting and such. And the compositions are great. You also have plenty of creative variety in your poses and images in general. And you have chosen some picturesque locations to complement this lovely couple. But most importantly you have captured the expressions of this couple’s relationship really well! Not forced, but very natural looking. They are ender but playful. Certainly joyful, and very much in love.
If this is your starting place, (or your first engagement shoot) you can be confident that you will do very well indeed. Great job, Caroline – I would hire you in a heartbeat!
And congrats to this lovely couple on their journey of love.

Good luck to you, Caroline, in your very bright future! – JimReplyCancel
