As a wedding photographer, it’s always a special pleasure to get to work with a couple from start to finish…that is, from their engagement right through to their big day! I love photographing two people in love in a more casual setting, getting to know them as we walk around…and then getting to look forward to the day they finally become husband and wife! Devynne and Byron are such a sweet couple, and I’m very pleased and honored to be their wedding photographer! We recently spent a beautiful morning together at the North Carolina Museum of Art for their engagement session.
Devynne and Byron met through mutual friends, and have been together for almost a year and a half. I loved learning that for his proposal, Byron took Devynne back to the location where they had first said ‘I love you’ to one another. So sweet! These two are so comfortable together, clearly happy in each other’s company, what a joy to photograph them! There was a lot of laughter as we walked through the park at the museum, enjoying a great conversation and taking in the sights. The park recently went through lots of landscaping changes, making it an interesting and diverse place for a shoot and a lovely place to just stroll with someone you love. 🙂
Devynne and Byron will tie the knot in a summer ceremony next July. It may seem like a-ways off, but I know the months will rush by. In no time at all they will be husband and wife, embarking on one of life’s greatest journeys together. And I’m so happy that I will be there behind my camera to capture it all!
I hope you enjoy these photos from their engagement session…and that your holidays are full of love, warmth and laughter!
