If you follow my posts (and thank you if you do!), then you know that I’ve been doing quite a bit of reflecting recently. Specifically: on how my true passion as a photographer is capturing the love a family shares. So often I happily find myself in the midst of incredible, grand celebrations… weddings! Weddings are what I photograph the most, and they’re wonderful! But I’m also grateful for the quieter times I get to spend with clients, just getting to know them a bit in a more intimate setting. Engagement sessions are perfect for this! It’s a treat and an honor to be with a couple as they enjoy a relaxed moment… just for the two of them…before the swirling excitement of their wedding day.
The first thing I came to understand about Holly and Chris is how proud they are to be parents. Their eyes absolutely light up when they talk about their kids! When describing how she and Chris relate to their children, Holly used these words: “They are our world.” So beautiful! As a family, they spend the weekends exploring and seeking out adventures; watching the kids experience something new for the first time gives Holly and Chris so much joy.
Having spent seven years together as a couple, they are completely easy with one another, so calm and so kind. Chris’s work and passion is feeding the hungry in developing countries…so truly amazing!!! I was born and raised in a developing country and I know how many people need help. What an honor to work with a kind couple like them! Chris cites Holly’s confidence, big heart and inspiration as the main reasons that he fell for her. Their lives and their family are already so strong and filled with love…I’m just thrilled I get to witness their newly unfolding chapter as their wedding photographer! I can’t wait for their big day! Below it is a sneak peek of their engagement session!
